During the month, contributed to the deanlee/openpilot repository by enhancing the precision of frequency representation within the messaging system. This work involved changing the data type used for frequency values from integer to float, allowing for more accurate and granular handling of frequency data. The update was implemented using C++ and Python, drawing on system programming expertise to ensure compatibility and maintainability within the existing codebase. By focusing on this targeted feature, the developer addressed a specific technical limitation, improving the system’s ability to represent frequency values accurately and supporting more precise communication within the messaging infrastructure. No bugs were fixed.
