January 2025 (2025-01) focused on elevating UI quality through a comprehensive Visual Assets Refresh for the gbif/training repository. Delivered a cohesive set of UI iconography and image assets to improve visual consistency and perceived quality across the application. Changes were implemented via a series of commits updating assets such as art-show.png, icon replacements, icon backgrounds, prep.png, and project.png. There were no major bug fixes this month; the work largely enhanced branding and user experience, with downstream benefits in consistency, maintainability, and developer velocity for asset updates. Technologies demonstrated include frontend asset management, design-to-development collaboration, and Git-based version control with clear commit hygiene.
