In June 2025, Jayant Singh developed the Databricks JDBC Driver, providing standardized SQL connectivity to Databricks through the databricks/databricks-jdbc repository. Jayant also created a configuration file to streamline deployment of Databricks SQL endpoints, laying the groundwork for future BI and ETL integrations via JDBC. While the project was limited in scope to a single feature and no bugs were reported or fixed, the work established a foundational JDBC solution for data-driven applications within the Databricks ecosystem.
