Jay Poulz focused on improving CI stability for the coreos/fedora-coreos-config repository by addressing a persistent test failure related to the podman-etcd symlink in RHCOS builds. He implemented a targeted workaround in Shell, updating the validate-symlinks test to accommodate a new broken symbolic link, which allowed the kola test to be re-enabled and restored test coverage while the upstream issue remained unresolved. Drawing on his skills in system administration and testing, Jay’s work reduced build noise and improved traceability of changes. He maintained a clear plan for removing the workaround once the underlying issue is fixed upstream.
