During their work on the getlago/lago repository, JB focused on enhancing the development environment by addressing a key DevOps challenge. They corrected the migration startup path in the docker-compose.dev.yml file, ensuring that database migrations run automatically when the development environment starts. This adjustment, implemented using Docker and YAML, brought local development behavior in line with production, reducing manual setup steps and improving reliability for contributors. By automating migrations, JB streamlined onboarding and minimized friction for new developers. The work demonstrated a practical approach to environment consistency, though it was limited in scope to a single bug fix during the period.
