Worked on governance and automation enhancements for code review processes in the wiredtiger/wiredtiger repository. Developed and implemented a CODEOWNERS file for the storage-engines team, leveraging YAML and GitHub Actions to automate reviewer assignments and streamline code ownership management. Integrated svc-bot-sebb for auto-review assignment, then reverted a previous auto-assignment change to maintain established reviewer pools through the existing mana bot membership. These updates improved review coverage, reduced ambiguity in pull request routing, and aligned with organizational governance policies. All changes were thoroughly documented to ensure traceability and compliance, reflecting a methodical approach to DevOps and codebase maintainability.
