
Worked on backend reliability and observability enhancements across DataDog’s dd-trace-go and dd-trace-py repositories using Go and Python. Addressed configuration map integrity in dd-trace-go by resolving duplicate entries and restoring a missing key, which reduced misconfiguration risks and improved clarity for users. In dd-trace-py, implemented MCP Server Initialization Tracing to capture lifecycle events, adding new tracing logic, tagging, and comprehensive tests to ensure seamless integration with the existing Go-based tracing framework. Focused on targeted, low-risk changes and thorough validation, the work improved system stability and provided deeper visibility into server initialization, supporting faster diagnostics and performance optimization.
