Developed and delivered an expansion of LWM2M TLS cipher suite support in the kholia/zephyr repository, enabling the use of TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_128_CCM_8 for X.509 certificate-based authentication. This work aligned the LWM2M engine with version 1.1 security requirements, enhancing both interoperability and compliance for customer deployments. The implementation involved configuring TLS ciphers within embedded systems, integrating cryptographic requirements, and ensuring traceable, patch-based development in C. By focusing on secure networking and standards compliance, the contribution reduced integration risk for downstream users and demonstrated a methodical approach to security-focused feature development in embedded networking environments. No major bugs were addressed.
