Worked on enhancing 3D visualization and browser-based file system capabilities across rerun-io/rerun and apache/opendal. In rerun, delivered configurable camera controls for 3D viewers, introducing UI sliders and blueprint-based properties to manage camera speed and perspective, supporting both first-person and orbital navigation. These features were integrated using C++, Python, and component-based architecture, improving user navigation and interactivity in complex scenes. For apache/opendal, implemented an OPFS backend using Rust and WebAssembly, enabling in-browser file system operations such as directory creation, reading, writing, and listing. Focused on robust error handling, cross-platform compatibility, and maintainable code structure throughout the development process.
Concise May 2026 monthly summary for the apache/opendal repo, focused on delivering business value through browser-based file system capabilities and robust cross-platform readiness.
