Developed a bidirectional semantic model converter for the apache/ossie repository, enabling offline transformation between OSI and Omni model formats. The solution supported both export and import workflows, preserving Omni-specific features through custom extensions and incorporating robust error handling to accommodate diverse real-world model layouts. Leveraging Python for core logic, the work integrated data modeling and conversion techniques, with a focus on semantic modeling and structured data formats such as JSON and YAML. The feature addressed the need for seamless interoperability between OSI and Omni models, enhancing the repository’s capabilities without introducing new bugs, and demonstrated strong API and CLI development skills.
