During December 2025, James Black enhanced the Dispatcharr/Dispatcharr repository by developing a more flexible Docker image build script. He extended docker/build-dev.sh to accept additional command-line arguments, enabling automated image pushes to registries and supporting cross-building for multiple architectures. This work streamlined deployment automation and reduced manual intervention in the release process, aligning with modern CI/CD practices. James applied his expertise in DevOps, shell scripting, and Docker workflows, using both bash and Python to deliver the feature. The update improved build provenance and accelerated release cycles, demonstrating a focused approach to solving deployment challenges through targeted scripting enhancements.
