Jeff contributed to the openhab/openhab-webui and openhab-distro repositories by developing features that improved automation language support, user guidance, and data visualization. He enhanced the script editor to support a new Python add-on, centralized automation-language configurations, and updated the UI to display conditions alongside triggers, all using JavaScript and Vue.js. Jeff also implemented user-facing deprecation alerts to guide users through breaking changes, ensuring clear communication and maintainability. In May, he introduced the oh-state-series chart type, enabling detailed visualization of state transitions over time with configurable options, which improved observability and debugging for users managing complex state charts.
