Worked on the Kotlin/dokka repository to enhance the reliability of documentation generation by addressing two critical bugs. Focused on improving versioning accuracy, the developer refined directory detection logic to exclude non-directory and hidden files, ensuring correct version identification during builds. Additionally, they improved HTML output integrity by adjusting file writing methods to prevent extraneous newlines, preserving the intended document structure. These changes, implemented using Kotlin and leveraging skills in file I/O, file system operations, and HTML generation, contributed to a more robust build pipeline and cleaner user-facing documentation. The work demonstrated careful attention to repository hygiene and maintainability.
