During a two-month engagement, Jeg enhanced the Survey package ecosystem within the spack/spack and spack/spack-packages repositories. He delivered targeted updates to build systems and dependency management, focusing on Python-based configuration to support new Survey versions and resolve autoload none build failures. By aligning Python path handling and updating dependencies such as libmonitor, Jeg improved CI reliability and upgrade readiness. He also expanded install options by adding Survey versions 1.1.2 and 1.1.3, updating package metadata to improve maintainability. Jeg’s work demonstrated depth in package management and software configuration, addressing compatibility and reproducibility for scientific workflows in Spack deployments.
