Worked on enhancing security and reliability for the Valkey and Valkey Search repositories by implementing access control and robust error handling. Developed ACL support in Valkey Search using C++ and integrated new source and header files into the build system, enabling fine-grained permission checks for core commands and supporting multi-tenant access patterns. Added comprehensive unit tests to ensure correctness and maintainability. In the Valkey repository, addressed a crash issue in VM_GetCurrentUserName by introducing null checks in C, improving system uptime and resilience. Demonstrated proficiency in C, C++, build system integration, and unit testing while delivering business-critical improvements.
