Jeremy Rickards restored and enhanced observability for the gardener/gardener-extension-shoot-cert-service repository by re-enabling Prometheus scraping, alerts, and dashboards that had been removed due to conditional logic. Using Helm and Kubernetes, Jeremy identified the root cause of missing monitoring coverage and implemented a targeted fix in YAML to reinstate critical observability features. This work improved the reliability of monitoring and enabled faster incident detection and troubleshooting for the Shoot Cert Service. By focusing on operational resilience and production readiness, Jeremy’s contribution ensured that the service maintained robust monitoring and alerting, supporting proactive maintenance and reducing the risk of undetected issues.
