Worked on improving onboarding reliability and configuration hygiene for the Koenkk/zigbee2mqtt repository by addressing a key issue in the onboarding form. Developed a solution using TypeScript and front end development skills to ensure that form fields are dynamically disabled based on environment variable settings. This approach prevents users from interacting with options that are not supported or should be unavailable in specific configurations, thereby reducing the risk of misconfiguration. The work focused on refining the user experience and maintaining system integrity by enforcing environment-driven constraints directly within the onboarding process, resulting in a more robust and predictable setup workflow.
