Worked on the 18F/identity-dashboard repository to enhance security by implementing storage public access hardening. Focused on backend development and cloud storage configuration, the work involved removing the public-read ACL from storage settings using YAML, thereby reducing the risk of data leakage and supporting compliance requirements. Collaborated with security and compliance teams to ensure alignment with best practices, while maintaining clear commit messages and Git-based traceability for efficient audits. No major bugs were addressed during this period, but ongoing maintenance and security-focused improvements contributed to product reliability and increased customer trust in the platform’s data protection measures.
