Enhanced test reliability and maintainability by refactoring Python test assertions, unwrapping no-op tuple expressions in mock assertions, and removing unnecessary type ignores to improve mypy type checking. Introduced a Kubernetes-based solution for tracking retry costs by adding a tron.yelp.com/attempt_number label to pods, enabling more granular monitoring of action run attempts. Emphasized code refactoring and type safety throughout, ensuring clearer code paths and reducing type-related friction.
