During August 2025, Young developed an Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) integration between the Axelar and Xpla networks within the Cosmos ecosystem, focusing on enabling cross-chain asset transfers and smart contract interactions. Working in the cosmos/chain-registry repository, Young implemented a dedicated IBC route, adhering to Cosmos SDK conventions and ensuring maintainable, well-documented code. The integration established OAuth-like cross-chain enablement for assets and contract calls, laying the groundwork for future interoperability. Young’s work involved JSON for configuration and data representation, with a strong emphasis on code quality and alignment with project roadmap goals. No bugs were reported or fixed during this period.
