During April 2025, Jiangyang Yang developed a custom DML command parser for the apache/kylin repository, focusing on backend development and parser design. Leveraging Java and JavaCC, Jiangyang defined tokens and grammar rules to interpret self-defined DML commands such as SHOW JOB, LOAD PARTITION, LOAD MODEL, DELETE MODEL, and CANCEL JOB. This parser enables flexible and expressive data manipulation within Kylin, supporting future extensions and automated administrative tasks. The work established a robust foundation for parsing and executing complex DML commands, aligning with Kylin’s roadmap for enhanced operational tooling and demonstrating depth in DML parsing and parser development.
