During August 2024, Xiaofeng contributed to the deepflowio/deepflow repository by expanding agent lifecycle management capabilities. Xiaofeng developed a new gRPC function within agent.proto to facilitate agent management and data retrieval, addressing the need for more robust backend workflows. The work included updating CLI commands in Go to streamline user interactions and ensure seamless integration between the CLI and backend services. By leveraging skills in backend development, CLI tooling, Protocol Buffers, and gRPC, Xiaofeng enabled more cohesive agent operations. The feature delivered practical business value by improving agent workflow efficiency, though the scope was focused and did not include bug fixes.
