Contributed to the kubernetes/kubernetes repository by developing a flexible environment-variable retrieval endpoint, enabling dynamic access to environment variables via HTTP and UDP/SCTP protocols for enhanced end-to-end testing. Leveraged Go and YAML to replace a hardcoded endpoint, improving test coverage and adaptability across diverse deployment scenarios. Addressed test reliability by stabilizing hostNetwork tests using the Downward API, ensuring consistent node name resolution even with hostname overrides across cloud providers. Updated test tooling and container images to support these changes, resulting in reduced test flakiness and improved reproducibility.
