Worked on the getsentry/self-hosted repository to streamline configuration management for self-hosted Sentry deployments. Focused on deprecation cleanup by removing the outdated snuba-spans consumer from the docker-compose.yml file, which reduced configuration complexity and minimized the risk of misconfiguration. Utilized YAML for configuration updates and applied DevOps best practices to simplify service definitions and lower maintenance overhead. This effort decommissioned unused components, supporting more reliable deployments and laying the groundwork for future deprecations. The work improved operational efficiency by ensuring that only actively maintained services remained in the deployment, contributing to a more maintainable and robust self-hosted environment.
