Worked on the zephyrproject-rtos/poky repository to enhance timezone management and date/time parsing reliability across platforms. Focused on upgrading the tzdata and tzcode components from version 2024a to 2024b, ensuring that the build system maintained reproducibility and integrity by updating relevant checksums. Addressed issues in the glib test suite by patching it to handle timezone definitions such as PST8PDT more robustly, which reduced false negatives in time-related tests. Utilized C and Shell scripting to deliver a more resilient date and time parsing workflow, ultimately minimizing the risk of time-related defects in future deployments and builds.
