Worked on the seapath/ansible repository to enhance time synchronization workflows by implementing PTP domain number configuration within the timemaster role. Leveraged Ansible, YAML, and Jinja to introduce domain number options in ptp4l configuration and extend pmc command support, aligning with evolving PTP requirements. Developed a flexible mechanism for appending extra ptp4l options, enabling future updates without code changes and improving maintainability. This work focused on increasing the configurability and reliability of cross-device time synchronization, addressing operational efficiency for configuration management. The approach emphasized modular scripting and robust DevOps practices, resulting in a more adaptable and maintainable automation solution.
