Worked on the gafusion/omas repository to address a critical data integrity issue in the D3D mapping path, focusing on improving the reliability of core-profile data processing. Using Python and leveraging skills in configuration management and data processing, implemented a fix that removed the incorrect zeroing of pf_active in D3D mappings and introduced rotation frequency mapping to zipfits. Enhanced the core-profile workflow by applying accurate unit conversions for temperature and rotation data, which reduced downstream data errors and improved analytics reliability. The work strengthened the data processing pipeline, ensuring more accurate and consistent handling of machine mapping and scientific measurements.
