Worked on the elastic/docs-content repository to enhance repository hygiene by addressing the issue of unwanted macOS .DS_Store files being tracked in version control. Updated the .gitignore configuration to exclude these system files, thereby reducing unnecessary noise in diffs and pull requests. This change improved the stability of continuous integration pipelines and created a cleaner development environment for all contributors. The work focused on version control best practices, utilizing Git configuration to enforce consistent repository standards. No new features were added during this period, but the targeted bug fix contributed to more reliable and maintainable workflows for the project team.
