Worked on core security and stability improvements across the hashicorp/consul and hashicorp/consul-dataplane repositories, focusing on backend development and release management. Addressed a security vulnerability in Consul by enforcing ACL read permissions before applying user-supplied BEXP filters, reducing the risk of data leakage and updating related tests. Upgraded Envoy to version 1.32.1 in Consul-Dataplane, aligning Dockerfile and build artifacts for both binary and FIPS builds while updating changelog tooling to reflect these changes. Utilized Go, Dockerfile, and Makefile to ensure dependency hygiene, maintainability, and compliance, with a strong emphasis on security and robust documentation throughout the process.
