Worked on the ACCESS-NRI/access-esm1.6-configs repository to enhance CI/CD automation by updating the GitHub Actions workflow responsible for generating initial checksums. Leveraged YAML and GitHub Actions to reference the latest workflow version from access-nri/model-config-tests, ensuring alignment with the main branch for up-to-date configuration and testing. This approach automated checksum generation across environments, reducing manual intervention and minimizing configuration drift. The update improved build reproducibility and reliability, streamlining the development pipeline. The work demonstrated a strong grasp of CI/CD principles, cross-repository workflow integration, and versioned workflow management, focusing on maintainability and consistency in automated build processes.
