Worked on stabilizing audio input functionality in the Multimodal Textbox component within the gradio-app/gradio repository, focusing on resolving a critical bug that affected user experience. Addressed issues with non-functional audio input by implementing robust state management and refining the stop button logic, ensuring accurate time tracking and safe exit paths. Enhanced error handling to improve reliability and maintainability, supporting a smoother rollout to users. Utilized JavaScript and Svelte for front end development, and contributed targeted code comments and tests to facilitate future maintenance. The work resulted in improved stability and readiness of the audio input feature for broader adoption.
