During January 2026, Vanille Zucker developed and integrated a new cask for AusweisApp version 2.4.0 within the Homebrew/homebrew-cask repository, enabling macOS users to install and manage the official eID client of the German Federal Government. Vanille focused on Homebrew Cask management and macOS development, using Ruby to define, document, and test the package. The work streamlined installation and maintenance for end users by ensuring compatibility and ease of updates through Homebrew’s infrastructure.
