Worked on the WordPress/plugin-check repository to enhance license recognition for plugin submissions, focusing on improving GPL compatibility checks. Developed a feature that identifies The Unlicense as GPL-compatible and standardized its license identifier to the SPDX format, ensuring consistent license reporting across plugin readmes and automated checks. This backend development effort, implemented in PHP, addressed potential legal ambiguities and improved the accuracy of license validation processes. Emphasized license management and unit testing to verify the robustness of the new logic. No major bugs were addressed during this period, with the primary contribution centered on refining license compatibility and normalization workflows.
