Developed a core data portability feature for the ubclaunchpad/clinical-logging application, focusing on enabling users to export logbook entries as CSV files. The work involved designing and implementing a new API route and backend service in Node.js and JavaScript, supporting secure data retrieval, CSV formatting, and authenticated delivery. Emphasis was placed on ensuring reliable export workflows, with targeted improvements to response handling that maintained data integrity throughout the process. This feature enhanced data accessibility for end users and facilitated downstream analytics and reporting, demonstrating a methodical approach to backend and API development within a clinical data management context.
