During March 2026, Fouskwne contributed to the nautobot/nautobot repository by delivering a targeted backend fix that addressed how ConfigContext queries handle subclasses of the Device model. Using Django and Python, Fouskwne modified the ConfigContextQuerySet and ConfigContextModelQuerySet to ensure accurate querying and annotation for inherited device models, directly improving data integrity for configuration contexts. This work reduced the risk of incorrect device information propagating to dashboards and automation systems, supporting more reliable downstream processes. The solution was developed with a focus on maintainability and unit testing, and included collaborative commit practices to align with project standards and future enhancements.
