Worked on the cjpais/handy repository to establish a comprehensive automated testing and continuous integration foundation. Developed a new CI workflow using YAML to run Rust unit tests, introducing a mock TranscriptionManager to decouple tests from heavy dependencies and accelerate feedback cycles. Set up Playwright-based end-to-end testing with initial JavaScript and TypeScript tests to verify server responses and HTML structure, ensuring robust validation of core features. These efforts laid the groundwork for scalable, reliable test coverage and streamlined pull request validation, focusing on maintainability and speed. The work emphasized infrastructure improvements rather than bug fixes, prioritizing quality and developer productivity.
