Over a two-month period, contributed to the BloomBooks/BloomDesktop repository by modernizing reading tools and improving user interface consistency. Focused on migrating key features such as the Decodable Reader and Toolbox Settings to React, enabling faster feature delivery and easier integration of premium capabilities. Enhanced the frontend with Material UI and Emotion for styling, while refining grid layouts and responsive design using CSS and TypeScript. Addressed several bugs related to UI logic and layout, and streamlined the code review process. These efforts resulted in a more maintainable codebase, improved localization, and a scalable foundation for future feature development and testing.
