Worked on maintaining and improving payment processing reliability within the laravel/cashier-stripe repository, focusing on backend development using PHP. Addressed a critical bug by enhancing exception handling in the invoice processing flow, specifically targeting the invoice() function to prevent flaky payments and unhandled errors. The approach involved updating ManagesInvoices.php to reinforce error propagation and improve logging, ensuring that downstream systems receive accurate error information. This work increased the maintainability and stability of payment operations by reducing the risk of unhandled exceptions. Emphasized robust error handling practices and contributed to a more reliable backend infrastructure for payment processing tasks.
