Worked on the formatjs/formatjs repository to enhance build system reliability by focusing on dependency management and Bazel lockfile tooling. Developed a custom Bazel lockfile merge driver to improve build reproducibility across different environments, ensuring more deterministic workflows for developers. Consolidated dependency maintenance by performing routine updates and removing the unused @types/json-stable-stringify package, which reduced the maintenance surface area and improved CI reliability. Updated json-stable-stringify to version 1.3.0 to address compatibility and ongoing maintenance needs. Utilized Bazel and YAML to streamline package management, ultimately stabilizing the repository and accelerating onboarding through targeted improvements to the build process.
