Jozef Mikusinec focused on stabilizing the formatjs/formatjs repository by enhancing build system configuration and dependency management. He developed a custom Bazel lockfile merge driver, which improved build reproducibility and ensured consistent environments across development workflows. Using Bazel and YAML, Jozef consolidated dependency maintenance by performing routine updates and removing the unused @types/json-stable-stringify package, thereby reducing the maintenance surface area. He also updated json-stable-stringify to version 1.3.0 to address compatibility concerns. This targeted engineering work improved CI reliability and accelerated onboarding, resulting in a more deterministic and maintainable build process for the project during the month.
