During May 2025, Juan Perusquia focused on upgrading the Drizzle ORM within the withastro/astro repository to version 0.42.0, addressing compatibility and stability concerns. He migrated index definitions from an object-based to an array-based format, aligning the codebase with the new ORM API and reducing the risk of future upgrade issues. This work preserved existing data access semantics and ensured that the application remained stable throughout the transition. By leveraging his expertise in TypeScript, ORM, and database management, Juan prepared the project for upcoming ORM enhancements while minimizing technical debt and maintaining a clear, traceable upgrade path.
