Developed user-controlled private network access for the BlueBubbles extension in the moltbot/moltbot repository, enabling per-user opt-out of localhost private-network policies. This feature was implemented using TypeScript and full stack development practices, with comprehensive test coverage to validate opt-out behavior and ensure backward compatibility with existing configurations. The work included refining and aligning test mocks and imports, removing a flaky monitor-private-network test to improve stability, and updating the changelog to document the new functionality. By allowing configurable localhost networking, the solution reduced friction for developers and testers in local development and CI environments while maintaining security expectations.
