During August 2025, JT Umlins focused on stabilizing the initial condition setup workflow for large-scale simulations in the foggie-sims/foggie repository. By removing obsolete configuration files and updating Python scripts to correctly reference MUSIC script paths, JT addressed path resolution issues that previously led to misconfigurations. This work, rooted in configuration management and scripting, reduced manual intervention and setup time for 512-scale simulation runs. The changes improved the reliability and reproducibility of the workflow, ensuring that future large-scale simulations can be initialized more efficiently. JT’s contributions reflect a targeted, in-depth approach to maintaining robust simulation infrastructure using Python.
