Developed and delivered a single-instance enforcement feature for the sst/opencode repository, focusing on improving desktop application stability and user experience. Leveraging Rust and Tauri, implemented a desktop plugin that integrates with the application’s startup flow to ensure only one instance runs at a time, preventing multiple windows and directing focus to the existing window on subsequent launches. This approach addressed user confusion and enhanced reliability by managing concurrency at the application level. The work demonstrated proficiency in desktop application development, plugin architecture, and UX-oriented problem solving, with clear traceability through repository commits and alignment with project goals and requirements.
