Worked on enhancing LaTeX grammar-check masking for the Automattic/harper repository, focusing on reducing false positives and improving parsing reliability in LaTeX-heavy documents. Extended the existing masking logic to recognize a broader set of math environments and addressed issues with indentation before LaTeX commands, which previously triggered incorrect grammar warnings. Implemented these improvements using Rust, emphasizing robust backend development and thorough testing practices. Added validation tests to ensure the new masking logic did not introduce regressions or affect existing behavior. This work contributed to more accurate document processing and a smoother review workflow for users working with complex LaTeX content.
