Contributed to the liuchengxu/BitVM repository by refactoring and enhancing cryptographic modules, focusing on maintainability and clarity. Over three months, delivered a generic, reusable Winternitz Signature System with optimized algorithms and improved documentation, enabling easier integration for downstream teams. Applied Rust and Assembly skills to restructure bigint and hash modules, removing unused code, clarifying operations, and optimizing performance-critical paths. Further improved the BLAKE3 hashing and signature modules by renaming functions, updating comments, and resolving compiler warnings. These efforts established a cleaner codebase, improved reliability, and laid the groundwork for future security and performance enhancements in low-level cryptographic components.
