During August 2025, João Couto focused on backend maintenance for the zanfranceschi/rinha-de-backend-2025 repository, addressing a persistent issue with test environment reliability. He implemented a comprehensive cleanup of test run logs and reset the environment by removing stale Docker Compose artifacts and k6 test outputs. This work reclaimed storage space and reduced the frequency of flaky test failures, resulting in more stable and predictable CI runs. João utilized Docker Compose and log management techniques to automate the cleanup process, ensuring future test executions start from a clean baseline. The depth of this work improved both test reliability and observability.
