Worked on the splunk/public-o11y-docs repository to deliver a configurable CRD installation option for the Kubernetes OpenTelemetry Operator using the automatic discovery Helm chart. This feature allowed users to explicitly control CRD installation, reducing deployment risk and increasing flexibility for operator management. The work included updates to documentation written in RST and YAML, clarifying Helm values related to cert-manager and operator configuration to better support Java trace collection. Demonstrated skills in Helm, Kubernetes, and technical documentation, the changes improved deployment workflows and provided clearer guidance for integrating Java tracing, addressing both operational safety and user experience for Kubernetes environments.
