Worked on enhancing the Navigation API for the filamentphp/filament repository, focusing on streamlining navigation configuration and improving type safety within the codebase. Leveraged PHP and object-oriented programming principles to introduce new setters on the Page class, including navigationGroup, navigationParentItem, navigationIcon, navigationLabel, and navigationSort, allowing for more flexible and maintainable navigation management. Extended the navigationGroup setter in the Resource class to support UnitEnum, reducing boilerplate and clarifying developer intent. These backend improvements enable safer, clearer navigation configuration and lay the groundwork for easier future extensions, contributing to improved maintainability and a better developer experience overall.
