In February 2025, Josh Kelter integrated Arduino board support directly into the standard NetLogo distribution, consolidating the GoGo Board and Arduino extensions to streamline hardware project setup. Working within the NetLogo/NetLogo repository, he focused on simplifying the onboarding process by eliminating the need for separate installations, allowing users to begin using Arduino boards immediately. Josh updated the HTML-based documentation to reflect these changes, ensuring clarity for both new and existing users. His work centered on documentation and HTML, with an emphasis on improving developer experience. The project’s scope was focused, delivering a single feature with depth in integration and usability.
