
Worked on the jdx/mise repository to deliver secure plugin installation and Ruby tooling enhancements for enterprise environments. Developed features enabling plugins and Ruby to be installed from ZIP files over HTTPS, removing the need for Git-based distribution and supporting version-specific, private plugin access. Leveraged Rust for backend and plugin development, implementing async install flows and updating configuration schemas to accept both Git and ZIP URLs. Extended end-to-end testing to cover new installation paths and documented the changes for cross-team adoption. These improvements reduced installation time, improved security posture, and streamlined onboarding for teams requiring private or authenticated plugin deployments.

The feature enables installing Ruby from ZIPs via HTTPS, eliminating Git dependencies for private plugins and enabling faster deployment behind authentication.
